On November 28th, 2022, in the Hall of the Dean's Council of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, a public defense of the doctoral thesis of MSc. Eng. Michał Zellner, prepared under the supervision of prof. Z. Kaczmarczyk took place.

Mr. Michał Zellner completed his doctoral thesis entitled "Selected issues of wireless power transmission systems with strong magnetic coupling". The thesis was devoted to low-power systems powered by a high-frequency transformers with a strong winding coupling with various methods of leakage reactance compensation. The supervisor was prof. Zbigniew Kaczmarczyk, and the assistant supervisor was Dr. Piotr Legutko. In the public defense conducted by the Chairman of the Doctoral Commission, prof. Cuma Tyszkiewicz, also reviewers participated: prof. Jan Mućko from the Bydgoszcz University of Technology and prof. Marek Turzyński from the Gdańsk University of Technology.

On November 29, 2022, the Discipline Council of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Space Technologies unanimously awarded the MSc. Eng. Michał Zellner with a PhD degree in technical sciences. He is the first doctor promoted by the Discipline Council after changing its name. We wish Dr. Zellner many achievements in his professional and private life.
