Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Faculty of Electrical Engineering

On 30 September 2026, the Department held an organisational meeting ahead of the new academic year, chaired by the Head of the Department, Dariusz Grabowski, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor. The meeting focused on preparations for the winter semester and on recent Department news.

It was announced that on 22 September 2026 the Scientific Discipline Council (AEEiTK) unanimously accepted the habilitation proceedings of Dawid Buła, PhD, and issued positive opinions on the promotion of Andrzej Sikora, PhD, DSc, to the position of Associate Professor and on the employment of Piotr Świszcz, PhD. The Department was also active beyond the University: in September, the SEP Student Research Club, supervised by Piotr Zientek, PhD, represented it at the Energetab Fair in Bielsko-Biała and at the High School Graduates’ Fair (Salon Maturzystów).

A few days after the meeting, on 2 October 2026, the official inauguration of the academic year took place. Agnieszka Jakubowska-Ciszek, PhD, and Piotr Pruski, PhD, represented the Department as part of the ceremony’s organising team, including as members of the University’s colour guard.
