Short-term forecasting of the baseline load of the residential customer using historical data

We invite you to read the research article by Msc. Eng. Tomasz Naczyński, Prof. PŚ, Dr. Hab. Eng. Romana Koraba and Dr. Eng. Marcin Połomski (RAu5) published in the journal Przegląd Elektrotechniczny.

Abstract: This paper discusses a method for forecasting the daily load profile of a residential consumer. The method described is based on the assumptions of the persistence (naive) method and uses historical data on the electricity consumption by the analyzed customer. The proposed forecasting model can be applied to determine the consumer's baseline load forecast, used by the energy management system in a building equipped with a photovoltaic source, energy storage and shiftable (controllable) loads.
