会议就教育领域的经验交流、目前就读于西里西亚技术大学的中国学生以及在其他教学领域的合作发展前景进行了交流。在浅谈了两国的教育背景以及习俗之后，发现了许多共同之处，更加促进了双方的友好关系。

燕山大学（YSU）是中国享有盛誉的重点大学，目前有38,000 名学生就读。现有教职工3200人，包含专职教师2200人，教授509人，副教授678人。在重型机械成套设备、亚稳材料科学与技术、并联机器人理论与技术、流体传动与电液伺服控制技术、工业自动化控制理论与技术等研究领域具有国际先进水平。

去年，作为海外教育项目的一部分，燕山大学与西里西亚技术大学在波兰成立了燕山大学欧洲学院，这就实现了学生毕业后会取得燕山大学学士学位证以及西里西亚技术大学学士学位证。

On November 17, 2022, a meeting inaugurating cooperation with Yanshan University (China) was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. On the part of the guests, the meeting was attended by prof. Liu Xueqiang - Vice-Dean for the European Institute, Mrs. Hu Bingyu – School Counsellor of the University and Mrs. Sitong Adler - cooperation coordinator. The Silesian University of Technology was represented by: Marcin Szczygieł, PhD. – Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development, Rafał Setlak, PhD. – Vice-Dean for Education, prof. Cuma Tyszkiewicz, Anna Piwowar, PhD., Andrzej Kowalik and Mrs. Iwona Gałązka - head of the English Language Section of Foreign Language Studies at our University.

The meeting concerned the exchange of experience in the field of education for a group of Chinese students currently staying at the Silesian University of Technology and the prospects for the development of cooperation in other areas of teaching and science. After getting acquainted with the most important aspects of education and customs in both countries, many similarities were found that facilitate common relations.

YSU is a national prestigious University in China which currently educates 38,000 students. It employs 3,200 faculty members, of whom 2,200 are full-time teachers, including 509 professors and 678 associate professors. YSU has international advanced level in the research fields of heavy machinery sets, sub-stable material science and technology, parallel robot theory and technology, fluid transmission and electro-hydraulic servo control technology, industrial automation control theory and technology, etc.

Last year, the Chinese university established the European Institute of Yanshan University in Poland together with the Silesian University of Technology as part of the Overseas Education Project program, enabling the education of students in joint studies completed with a bachelor's degree from Yanshan University and an engineering diploma from the Silesian University of Technology.
