
On 25-27.09.2024, the 17th Membrane School was organised in Gliwice by, among others, employees of the Faculty of Chemistry, including those from our Department. The School was participated by more than 60 people - students, PhD students, young scientists and representatives of companies and institutions interested in membrane issues. Each symposium participant had the opportunity to present their research results during a poster session. The School also included lectures by specialists and workshops in the laboratories of the Silesian University of Technology.
The participants were welcomed by the Vice- Rector for Collaboration with the Civic and Economic Environment, Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Staniek, Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology.
The first lecture was given by the event's Head, Prof. Marian Turek.
Among the lecturers was an employee of our Department, Dr Hab. Eng. Przemysław Borys, Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology, who gave a lecture entitled: Theoretical aspects of mass transport through membranes.
During the poster session, PhD students from our Department and students working on PBL projects under the supervision of Dr Hab. Eng. Gabriela Dudek, Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology, presented their research.
