Description:

In the years 2021 - 2024, the Department of Inorganic, Analytical Chemistry and Electrochemistry will carry out two research projects financed by the National Center for Research and Development under the "Leader XI" program, dealing with the functionalization of metal surfaces using plasma electrolytic oxidation. As a result of this type of processing, ceramic oxide layers are created which, depending on the process conditions used and the substrate metal, can allow obtaining bioactive surfaces on titanium veterinary implants or serve as an intelligent system for securing aluminum and magnesium structures.
