Vladlens Grebnevs - a new Doctor in our Group!
On March 16, 2026, the public defence of the doctoral dissertation by mgr Vladlens Grebnevs took place. His dissertation, entitled:
"Modification of titanium and its alloys' surfaces in phosphate carbonate‑based suspensions with use of plasma electrolytic oxidation",
was prepared under the supervision of Prof. Wojciech Simka and Prof. Arturs Viksna from the University of Latvia, highlighting the international character and significance of the research. 🌍⚡
Vladlens presented his results with impressive confidence, clarity, and extensive knowledge.
The dissertation was reviewed by:
- Prof. Maciej Sitarz, AGH University of Krakow
- Prof. Grzegorz Sulka, Jagiellonian University
- Dr hab. Eng. Robert Tylingo, Prof. GUT, Gdańsk University of Technology
After an in‑depth discussion and evaluation of all aspects of the dissertation, the Committee unanimously supported the awarding of the doctoral degree in technical sciences.
