On 18 X 2023, on an exceptionally sunny and warm October afternoon, we had the opportunity to do more than just admire the Polish golden autumn 🍁

On the same day, at 12:00, in the Council Room of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian University of Technology, the public defense of the doctoral thesis by MSc. Eng. Marta Wala-Kapica took place. Her work is entitled:

Development of new electrocatalytic materials using nanotechnology for the oxidation of selected organic compounds

After her Supervisor, Prof. Wojciech Simka, presented the biography of our colleague from the Group, Marta presented the main theses of her doctoral dissertation in an adventurous tone, the completion of which required 4 years of hard but satisfying work. Then we could listen to the reviewers' opinions:

After a short open discussion and a closed meeting of the Doctoral Committee, it was solemnly announced that the committee supports the awarding of the degree of doctor of technical sciences in the discipline of chemical engineering to Marta Wala-Kapica.

Marta is the first graduate of the Doctoral School of the Silesian University of Technology from our Group. We are also pleased to announce that the future Doctor remains in our Team as an Assistant.
