Employees of our department are again in the prestigious group of 2% of the most influential scientists
Once again, 58 scientists from the Silesian University of Technology were included among the most influential 2% of scientists in the world in terms of the adopted citation indicators for their publications. This is the fourth edition of the study initiated in 2019 based on an article in the PLOS Biology journal by authors from Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, presenting a publicly available database providing standardized information taking into account publication achievements.
The list contains the names of scientists ranked on the basis of accepted indicators for assessing scientific achievements, such as: the Hirsch index, the number of citations and the role and place on the list of authors. The list included specialists from 22 disciplines divided into 174 more detailed subdisciplines. Among them are 58 scientists from the Silesian University of Technology, including three from the Department of Inorganic, Analytical and Electrochemistry.
The ranking covering the entire scientific career included:

In the ranking including citations obtained in 2022:
