On 26 November 2025, during our department’s seminar, the PhD student Tomasz Strzoda, BEng, MSc, delivered a presentation entitled “Development of a Model for Estimating Radiation Dose Using Long-Read Sequencing Data.”
In this talk, the speaker presented the concept and performance results of a system based on a machine learning model which — using sequencing data from Oxford Nanopore Technologies — enables the estimation of radiation exposure levels. The presentation was an extension of the doctoral student’s earlier research, covering topics in natural language processing, feature importance analysis, and optimization.
