Progress of the CoMPaSS-NMD project
During the 30th Annual Congress of the World Muscle Society (WMS 2025), held on October 7–11, 2025, in Vienna, the latest achievements of the international project CoMPaSS-NMD (Computational Modeling and Patient Stratification in Neuromuscular Disorders)—in which our Department of Data Engineering and Exploratory Analysis is an active participant—were presented.
The talk entitled “Computational models for new patient stratification strategies of neuromuscular disorders (CoMPaSS-NMD): a new strategy to tackle hereditary neuromuscular diseases” was delivered by Andi Nuredini from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). The co-authors of the presentation were Prof. Joanna Polańska, Michał Marczyk, BEng, PhD, DSc, Aleksandra Suwalska, BEng, PhD, and Marek Socha, BEng, MSc.
Additionally, our Department’s researchers presented their own scientific posters at the congress (as described in a separate post – link).
The WMS 2025 Congress, bringing together the world’s largest community of scientists focused on muscle physiology and neuromuscular diseases, provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the innovative methods and research results developed within the CoMPaSS-NMD project. Participation in this event highlights the project’s interdisciplinary nature and its importance for advancing modern diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in neuromuscular disorders.
