Our employees at WMS 2025!
From October 7 to 11, 2025, the World Muscle Society (WMS 2025) Conference took place in Vienna, bringing together leading scientists and clinicians focused on neuromuscular disorders. Representatives of the Department of Data Science and Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology took part in this prestigious event, presenting the results of research conducted within the CoMPaSS-NMD project (Computational Modeling and Patient Stratification in Neuromuscular Disorders).
During the conference, Aleksandra Suwalska, BEng, PhD, presented a poster entitled "A Gene-Centric Scoring Approach for the Stratification of Patients with Rare Neuromuscular Disorders", Michał Marczyk, BEng, PhD, DSc, presented "A General-Purpose Self-Supervised AI Model for Quantitative Analysis of H&E-Stained Muscle Biopsy Specimens’ Whole-Slide Images", and Marek Socha, BEng, MSc, presented "Stratification of Neuromuscular Disorder Types Based on the Subregional Radiomic Features in Lower Leg MRI".
Participation in WMS 2025 marks an important step in disseminating the outcomes of the CoMPaSS-NMD project and in strengthening international scientific collaboration in the field of diagnostics and treatment of neuromuscular diseases.
We wish the team continued success and further development of the CoMPaSS-NMD project toward innovative scientific discoveries and clinical applications!
