Our Department at PP‑RAI 2026
From 20 to 22 April 2026, the PP‑RAI 2026 – Polish Conference on Artificial Intelligence – was held at the Faculty of Computer Science at AGH University of Krakow.
Our department was represented by MSc Eng. Anna Mrukwa, who presented a poster entitled “Deep Learning for Early Lung Cancer Detection in LDCT Screening: A Pilot Study”.
The work focuses on the use of deep learning methods for early lung cancer detection in low‑dose CT (LDCT) screening. In this pilot study, the aim is to investigate how advanced models can improve sensitivity and interpretability, in order to better support clinical decision‑making in real‑world screening programmes.
Participation in PP‑RAI 2026 provided an opportunity to present the group’s latest results, exchange experiences with other research centres, and establish new collaborations within the Polish AI community.
