Active participation of PhD students in ESM 2025 in Belgium
We are pleased to announce that our PhD students: Seweryn Kalisz, BEng, MSc, and Tomasz Strzoda, BEng, MSc, actively participated in ESM 2025 (The 39th Annual European Simulation and Modelling Conference), held from October 22–24, 2025, at KU Leuven in Ghent, Belgium.
During the conference, they had the honor of presenting their research:
Seweryn Kalisz: Efficient and Robust Scene Text Classification: Distinguishing Natural and Artificial Text Using Compact Deep Learning Models (link)
Tomasz Strzoda: Dimensionality Reduction for Vectors in Word-Inspired Modeling of Nucleotide Sequences (link)
The conference also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with researchers from around the world and to engage in insightful discussions on the research topics presented by our PhD students, which will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of their scientific projects.
We congratulate our PhD students on representing the Department on the international scientific stage and wish them continued success in their research and publications!
