Active participation in the COMPASS NMD Autumn School
The COMPASS NMD Autumn School was held in Pisa, Italy, from 29 September to 1 October, as part of the Young Investigator Training (YIT) initiative, which aims to attract and unite young researchers from different scientific disciplines to work together on the topic of muscular dystrophies. Our department's PhD student MSc Eng Karolina Kuliś, together with students Łukasz Piórecki and Michał Markiel, had the pleasure of attending the event. They were able to listen to a series of interesting and interactive lectures as well as actively participate in group work supervised by leading experts, discussing various aspects of these diseases and analysing interesting clinical cases. This intensive programme provided them with the latest knowledge on the genetics, physiology, pathology and genomics of neuromuscular diseases.
