Our Representatives at ESM 2024
On October 23-25, 2024, the 38th European Simulation and Modeling Conference (ESM'2024) took place in San Sebastián, Spain. This event brought together representatives from research institutions around the world. Our department was represented by two PhD students: Tomasz Strzoda and Seweryn Kalisz, who presented the results of their research. The topic of the first presentation was "In Search of a Sequence Classifier for a System Employing NLP Encoding", while the second presentation was titled "Media-Text: A Media Industry-Based Dataset for Scene Text Detection." Both presentations attracted considerable interest from attendees and sparked lively discussions.
We are pleased to announce that Seweryn Kalisz's work, conducted under the supervision of Michał Marczyk, PhD, DSc and Prof. Joanna Polańska, was recognized by the conference's scientific committee and awarded the "Best Paper Award."
