We are very happy to announce that a new PhD student has joined our Department: Abiodun Amoran from Nigeria. The topic of the doctoral thesis that interested Abiodun Amoran was proposed by Prof. Dariusz Bismor, and he is currently a first-year doctoral student. Abiodun Amoran received his engineering degree from the University of Ado Ekiti and his master's degree from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Nigeria, with a thesis entitled "Development of Cardiac Abnormalities Detection Using Wavelet Transform and Support Vector Machine". He is already the author of several works in magazines and book chapters. His scientific interests focus mainly on signal processing and artificial intelligence methods of pattern recognition. His doctoral thesis will concern non-contact detection of signals indicating human health, using acoustic methods.
