We are pleased to announce that a new PhD student has joined our Department: Solomon Habtamu Tessema from Ethiopia. Solomon Tessema chose the topic of his doctorate proposed by prof. Dariusz Bismor, won the recruitment process and is currently a first-year doctoral student. Solomon Tessema received his B.Sc. with honors from Adama Science and Technology University and his M.Sc. in 2019 from Jimma University, Ethiopia, with a thesis entitled "Stochastic Modeling and Pitch Angle Control of Wind Turbine Using Fuzzy Logic Based Adaptive Controller". His research interests focus mainly on signal processing and artificial intelligence methods. His doctoral thesis will concern signal processing used to monitor the welding process in real time to ensure its high quality.
