Research activities
The Department of Telecommunications and Teleinformatics conducts research in:
- quantum cryptography and its application in improving security of modern teleinformatics systems,
- security in IP local networks, including implementation and testing of new services in the Internet,
- optimization of hardware and software design of mobile systems, including:
- signal aspects of radiocommunication,
- software defined radios,
- optimization of digital data transmission systems including:
- design, testing and implementation of correction and modulation codes,
- efficient hardware implementation of the LDPC code decoder,
- applications of digital speech processing in telecommunications:
- speech compression using signal processors,
- speech synthesis,
- speech and speaker recognition,
- automatic speech translation.
