Joanna Tobiasz awarded for the best doctoral thesis in an international competition
We are very pleased to announce that Joanna Tobiasz PhD has won first prize in the international competition Progres 3 for the best doctoral thesis defended in 2023 in the Health and Healthcare Applications category. Third place in the same category was won by Justyna Mika PhD, also representative of our Faculty. Both scientists wrote their theses under the supervision of Prof. Joanna Polanska and in cooperation with scientific units from abroad.
On 21 March 2024, the award ceremony took place at the Technical University of Ostrava, which acts as the chairman in the Progres 3 Consortium. The Consortium comprises 16 member universities from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Each member university can submit the three best doctoral theses in each category, hence the competition is very high. We are even more honoured that the representatives of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science have won two places on the podium of this international competition. We congratulate both scientists and wish them further success!
