Eryka Probierz nominated as Scientist of the Future 2021
Ms. Eryka Probierz, MSc., was nominated for the award of Scientist of the Future 2021 in the category ‘Science for a better life in the future’, specifically for completion of the research study ‘Identification of emotions by social robots by means of neuron networks’.
Awards are granted to Scientists who are involved in promising studies in the fields of fundamental or applied research, with the objective to bring results of their projects to the market for the sake of the entire society. Such candidates are also expected to demonstrate their will to be open for communication, ready to disseminate and promote the outcome of their studies from the very first phase up to its final completion. This is done in order to emphasize how their studies are important for improving the life quality of people and how they contribute to economic growth. Eventually, they improve their chances for popularizing their studies and achieving stimulating impacts of their efforts onto specific areas of human life, and to strengthen the image of Polish science worldwide.
The contest for the award is organized by the Centre for Smart Development with content-related and evaluating partners as the Silesian Centre for Ethics in Business and the Centre of Sustainable Development at the Silesian University of Technology.
