International Summer Course on Robot Programming in Java

at the Aegean sea-side and just after RoboCup'11 İstanbul

The course is half theory and half laboratory work, with the following particulars:

• international lecturers: Hungary, Germany, Turkey
• alternative objective 1: application of AI, soft computing techniques on small-sized co-operative robots
• alternative objective 2: development of robot-device connectivities (FPGA, ZigBee, webcam)
• pre-registration due: 01 July 2011 (first-come-first-served, until capacity full)
• course content: 7 lectures theory + 7 sessions laboratory + as many individual lab work as you like (detailed course topics available at course web site)
• optional seminar: Java programming NXT, 3 x 3 hours
• course/seminar language: English

• level: officially undergraduate, but worthwhile for graduates too

• accommodation: 2-person en-suite bathroom and kitchenette in student halls on campus; approximately 4 Euro/day
• touristic attraction 1: if you arrive earlier in İstanbul, you may visit RoboCup'11, 05-11 July 2011
• touristic attraction 2: mountainous campus is at the sea-side; all buildings have sea-view; popular sports facilities (swimming, diving, surfing, fishing, climbing, gymnasium & fitness, tennis, mini-golf & chess courts)
