Laboratory of Electromedical Measurement
In the Electromedical Measurement Laboratory, students are introduced to the problems of measurements in medicine, where the human being is a measurement object. The laboratory is a bridge between the basics of metrology and the knowledge of medical diagnostics. Additionally, the students learn the principles of safe acquisition and recording of biomedical signals. During the laboratory, students process and analyze the recorded signals. The laboratory is equipped with specialized measurement equipment (including electrophysiological signal recorders, medical equipment testers) and software for analysis and processing of CT images.
Laboratory specialized equipment:
- Biopac MP35 (2 pcs.) and MP36 (1 pcs.) biomedical signals recording and analysis system equipped with software and instrumentation (connecting cables, accessories for rheographic, spirometric, dynamometric, and blood pressure measurements).
- Pulse oximeters (3 pcs.).
- Fluke Biomedical pulse oximetry tester (1 pcs, so-called artificial finger).
- Artificial patient (Fluke Biomedical, 2 pcs.) - ECG waveform simulator.
- Electrical safety analyzer Fluke Biomedical ESA 612.
- Perimeter which is used for analysis and recording of eye movements and measurement of vision resolution (light stimulus generators, 2 pcs.).
- Laboratory station for CT image analysis and processing equipped with two Apple iMacs and 3D printer (XYZ Printing da Vinci), for analysis and processing of images stored in DiCOM standard (e.g. from a CT scanner) by using the demonstration version of Osirix software, and for preparation of a model of the selected anatomical object and its 3D printing.
