Specialization Characteristics

In this specialization, students will gain skills in data analysis and processing using tools based on various data models, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and cloud computing resources and Big Data platforms. As part of the specialization, they will also learn about different cloud computing platforms and new paradigms for creating scalable, extensible and globally available software. They will also have the opportunity to learn about modern software development methodologies and will be prepared to work in teams based on agile methodologies, such as SCRUM. As part of the specialization, students learn various ways of effective software development using design patterns. In addition, students learn about the contemporary trends in the evolution of advanced databases and data warehouses, including topic-oriented and multifaceted analytical systems focused on real-time processing of Big Data, along with an analysis of such issues as optimization, performance, load balancing, and the use of parallel computing in these systems.

The specialization is designed for students interested in advanced data analysis and processing capabilities, including machine learning, cloud technologies, data warehousing, and Big Data issues. It is intended for those interested in gaining broader knowledge about creating modern IT systems with advanced, multi-component, service-based and microservices, architecture optimized for computationally intensive workloads and providing cost-effective high performance, as well as consulting systems and real-time Business Intelligence. It will also appeal to those interested in designing, programming, and implementing these types of systems, as well as those who want to learn about the latest trends in data engineering and working in large software development teams.

Participation in the specialization requires knowledge of databases and programming skills.
