Start - MGR EiT SPEC – Radioelectronics (RE)
Specialization: Radioelectronics (RE)
Master's degree: Electronics and Telecommunications,
Characteristics of the specialty
The development of modern radio systems as cellular networks, wireless computer networks, satellite communications and navigation or other RF systems, as well as a wide range of traditional applications of RF and microwaves in industry, medicine, measurement devices, etc., creates a great demand for engineers that are well prepared in the field of general electronics, which are simultaneously characterized by understanding of radio networks, high-frequency and high-speed digital systems, and electromagnetic compatibility issues. Education in mentioned areas is offered by the Radioelectronics specialty where great importance is attached to the design of analog and digital electronic systems and devices with the use of modern software tools. This approach allows taking into account the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility and signal integrity. The knowledge obtained during studies in the field of Radioelectronics allows graduates to design modern electronic devices and radio communication systems. The curriculum for the Radioelectronics specialization includes antenna technology , analysis and design of passive and active radio and microwave systems using advanced ECAD software, basics of radio broadcasting and reception (including software-defined radio), wireless systems and networks (including LTE), training in usage of specialized measuring instruments conducted in well-equipped laboratories.
