Characteristics of the specialty
There is an increasing demand on the labor market for automation and robotics competent in the field of measurement systems software, SCADA systems, decision support systems, data transmission and protection systems, intelligent executive devices, video information processing, industrial databases and project management.
The specialization information technologies in automation and robotics, as the name suggests, is focused on the application of industrial IT solutions in control systems, programming of such systems and information processing.

Prerequisites
Participation in the specialization requires knowledge of the issues that students become familiar with during the first two years of study, in particular related to: optimization methods, fundamentals of electronics, databases, numerical methods, digital technology, operating systems, fundamentals of measurement precesses and automatic control.

Graduate profile
Graduates of Automatic Control and Robotics with the specialization Information Technologies in Automatic Control and Robotics have knowledge of subjects related to the control of continuous and discrete processes, SCADA systems, process and system engineering, information processing, decision making and data management. They have the skills necessary for the design and programming of various control systems, in off-line and on-line programming of industrial robots, mobile robots and autonomous devices. They are very well prepared theoretically and practically to take up employment, especially as designers and users:
- modern automation systems using information technologies,
- maintenance of industrial facilities,
- control systems for robots, mobile devices, cars and airplanes,
- computer, monitoring, measurement and decision-making systems in the realities of industry 4.0 requirements.
