About the Conference

We invite you to participate in the 4th Progress Review Conference for institutions involved in the first call of the "Excellence Initiative – Research University" (IDUB) programme, as well as universities eligible to take part in the second edition of the competition. The event is organised in Gliwice by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in collaboration with the Silesian University of Technology.

In line with the recommendation of the international expert panel, the Conference represents a key element in the process of monitoring progress and assessing the ongoing implementation of development plans drawn up by universities selected in the competition. During the 4th Progress Review Conference, special attention will be given to the achievements and activities undertaken as part of the universities' development plans, as well as matters related to the mid-term evaluation under the IDUB programme, which took place in 2023.

This year's event will also include a workshops session aimed at both the beneficiaries of the IDUB programme and the universities that will be eligible to participate in the second edition of the competition, in view of the results of the first evaluation of the quality of scientific research activities for the period 2017-2021".

The official language of the conference is English, with simultaneous interpretation into Polish provided. The event will be held in a hybrid format, and participation will be possible upon electronic registration. After registering, you will receive a confirmation of participation via email.

The 4th Progress Review Conference is organised with the support of international experts who evaluated the applications in the IDUB competition and conducted the mid-term assessment of progress in implementing the universities' development plans.
