In accordance with Ordinance No. 170/2024 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 30 September 2024 on the acronyms of the Silesian University of Technology and certain organizational symbols used at the University:

• Polish: Politechnika Śląska PŚ or POLSL;
• English: Silesian University of Technology SUT;
• Latin: Silesia Universitas Technologica: SUT.

Important Information

The will to submit a project sign a contract / memorandum, on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology, must be reported to CZP and eCZP each time..

Please contact the Project Management Centre (CZP3) in case of any questions.

The project manager must obtain the Rector's power of attorney to submit the application before its submission, even in the case when the SUT is not the project coordinator and the power of attorney is not required at the application stage.

The project manager should contact CZP in advance to allow sufficient time for obtaining the necessary signatures and verifying the application.

Signatures of the Rector

Documents on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology (unless the Rector's signature is required) must be signed by the V-ce Rector for Science and International Cooperation after obtaining the financial counter signature of the Bursar.

Gender Equality

The Silesian University of Technology has been awarded the HR Excellence in Research logo by the European Commission, following the implementation of the principles of the European Charter for Researchers into the University's HR policy.

The University has developed and is implementing the Gender Equality Plan of the Silesian University of Technology for 2022–2024, aimed at reducing gender inequalities within the academic environment.

Main objectives of the Plan

• Promoting an organizational culture based on respect for diversity and elimination of gender stereotypes.
• Supporting work–life balance and developing mechanisms that facilitate it.
• Increasing gender balance in decision-making bodies and processes within the University.
• Ensuring equal access to recruitment, promotions, and career development opportunities.
• Integrating the gender dimension into research, education, and innovation.
• Raising awareness of preventing gender-based violence and harassment.

Implemented policies and supporting structures

• Anti-mobbing and Anti-discrimination Policy – Rector’s Order No. 312/2020.
• Employment Policy – Rector’s Order No. 97/2021.
• Coordinator for Preventing Mobbing and Discrimination – Rector’s Orders No. 4/2021 and 5/2021.

Gender Equality in research projects

In the Horizon Europe programme, having a Gender Equality Plan (GEP) is an eligibility criterion for universities and public institutions. The Silesian University of Technology meets this requirement through the implementation of its institutional GEP.

The Gender Equality Plan of the Silesian University of Technology was adopted by the Rector’s Order No. 46/2022 of 18 February 2022.
