2nd Edition of the Course: Good Practices in Teaching
In connection with the beginning of the new academic year and the Memorandum No. RD/1/2025 of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education dated September 9, 2025, concerning courses organized by the Center for Modern Education, we invite you to another training session prepared especially for those starting their teaching careers at the university. The event is addressed to doctoral students and academic teachers who wish to acquire practical skills and tools to support their teaching activities.

📍 Location:
The Center for Modern Education is located in the Main Library of the Silesian University of Technology, 23 Kaszubska Street, 2nd floor.
What can you expect?
During the training, participants will take part in lectures and practical workshops covering the following topics:
The role and attitude of the academic teacher – how to build authority and relationships with students,
Self-presentation and communication – how to speak in order to be listened to, understood, and remembered,
Evaluation of learning outcomes – how to assess students’ progress and develop their potential,
Working in an international environment – how to conduct classes with international students,
Modern teaching methods – academic didactics aligned with the principles of neurodidactics, motivating and engaging students.
The training combines theory with practice, enabling participants not only to learn the foundations of good teaching practices but also to apply them in everyday work. It is an excellent opportunity to gain inspiration, exchange experiences, and better prepare for the role of an academic teacher.
