Digital Library of the Silesian University of Technology
Digital Library of the Silesian University of Technology (BCPŚ) contains electronic versions of books and journals collected in the library's collections. The aim of BCPŚ is to provide access to educational and scientific resources, disseminate materials related to the Silesian University of Technology, and archive historical bibliophile collections – mainly in the fields of science and technology.
Searching the BCPŚ resources is available to everyone without restrictions, but some collections are subject to copyright protection. In such cases, access to the content of the publications is limited to computers within the library network or the academic network. Information about the access level to the publication is included in its description (in the "access" section).
NOTICE FOR EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS OF THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
With the implementation of the HAN system, employees and students of the Silesian University of Technology have unlimited access to all publications visible in BCPŚ – even those available only from the library and academic network. Simply select the Silesian University of Technology Digital Library from the list of electronic library sources, and in the HAN server login window, enter your university email credentials (employees - @polsl.pl / students - @student.polsl.pl). After correctly entering the credentials, you will be redirected to the BCPŚ website via HAN.
The BCPŚ collections are presented in a structure of digital collections, which can be browsed by type, topic, origin of the publication, and intended readership. Thanks to the extensive descriptions of the publications and the use of text recognition functions in PDF files, all BCPŚ resources can be searched both by attribute values and the content of the publications.
