A tool for assessing the merit of scientific journals based on several indicators, the most commonly used being Impact Factor and Immediacy Index.

The JCR database allows:

  • obtaining full bibliographic data on journals
  • checking which journals are most frequently cited by the journal of interest (cited journal) and how it is cited by other journals (citing journal)
  • obtaining a coefficient characterising the links between citing and cited journals (Impact Factor, Immediacy Index, Citing i Cited Half-life).

JCR is one of the databases of the Web of Science platform.

Use from outside the academic network requires first creating an account on Web of Science using any computer registered on the academic network.
