Employment of Ukrainian citizens (and Polish citizens) as academic teachers - changes introduced by the Act of 12 March 2022.
Under the Act of March 12, 2022 on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict in the Territory of Ukraine (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 583, as amended), solutions have been introduced to enable the continuation of employment of academic teachers.
A citizen of Poland or Ukraine who arrived legally in Poland as of February 24, 2022 from Ukraine and declares that as of February 24, 2022 he or she was working as an academic teacher in a higher education institution in the territory of Ukraine and holds the required professional title, academic degree, degree in art or the title of professor and appropriate qualifications for a given position may be employed in a higher education institution as an academic teacher without holding a competition referred to in Article 119, section 1 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.
