On May 17, 2023, students of the first year of Master's studies in the field of Logistics took part in a study visit to the Kirchhoff enterprise in Gliwice. The supervisor of the group was Dr. Eng. Jadwiga Grabowska.

The Kirchhoff production plant specializes in the production of metal structural components for car bodies and chassis, producing sub-assemblies such as engine frames, dashboard brackets, chassis and bumpers. In addition to traditional automotive processes such as stamping, welding and cathodic dip coating, the plant uses the most modern technologies used in this industry, such as hot forming and laser welding. These processes enable the production of very light, yet very strong parts - important from the point of view of safety and environmental protection. The plant is characterized by a very high level of automation and robotic processes - it is equipped with over 240 robots.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the history and profile of the company's activity and to see the process of manufacturing car parts.

The study visit took place at the invitation of the Quality Director, Mr. Rafał Smaluch, and the Quality Engineer Senior, Mrs. Ewa Pokrywka. Thank you very much for such a professional reception, commitment and time devoted to our group. We hope for more such interesting meetings.
