Success of the Silesian University of Technology in the prestigious THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026
Times Higher Education has announced the results of the latest edition of the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026, in which the Silesian University of Technology once again confirmed its strong position in the global academic community. The University was classified in four subject areas: Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Business and Economics, and Engineering, achieving some of the best results among Polish technical universities.
The greatest success was recorded in the Business and Economics category, where the Silesian University of Technology advanced from the 501–600 band to 401–500, securing the highest position in Poland. This category included as many as 1067 universities worldwide, including 17 from Poland.
Professor Aleksandra Kuzior, Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology, expresses her appreciation to the entire academic community, wishing that this outstanding result will serve as an inspiration for further work and a motivation for continuous development.
In the remaining areas — Engineering, Computer Science, and Physical Sciences — the University maintained the strong results achieved in the previous edition, confirming its stable development and the high quality of its research activities.
