Faculty of Organization and Management

The meeting of the Social Council of the Faculty of Organization and Management took place on 16 December 2025. The guests were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Aleksandra Kuzior. The session was opened by the Chair of the Council, Kamil Żbikowski, Mayor of the City of Zabrze. The meeting served as an opportunity to summarize the scientific and educational activities conducted during the concluding year 2025. In the presence of representatives from the economic, political, and social spheres, Professor Aleksandra Kuzior reviewed the implemented action plans and discussed the achieved outcomes.

In addition to evaluating past accomplishments, the Council discussed future development directions, including the proposal to launch the Cognitive Technologies and Social Media degree programme at the Rybnik Branch of the Silesian University of Technology. This programme has been successfully conducted in Zabrze for the past three years and continues to attract significant interest among prospective students. Participants also presented their suggestions regarding the educational profile of future graduates, with the aim of enhancing their employability. The debate also covered the role of artificial intelligence and its use in acquiring new competencies. Furthermore, the Council addressed issues related to the Management degree programme, particularly in the context of collaboration with businesses on practical aspects of management.

A highlight of the meeting was the awarding of the “Leadership in Management” title to Wiktor Pawlik, President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gliwice. He was originally scheduled to receive the award during the Faculty’s 30th anniversary celebration, held on 17 November at the House of Music and Dance, which featured a concert by the band “Feel.” However, he was unable to attend the ceremony.
