Public transportation
The organizer of public transportation in the GZM is the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ZTM).
Fare - you can find fare information on the ZTM website.
There is a time-based fare for public transportation. You can buy a 20-40-90-minute fare, Group (up to 5 people), Daily, Package (20, 40 or 80 rides valid for 180 days) or Long-Term (7-day, 30-day, 90-day, as well as 180-day) ticket. You can also buy a "24h+rail" integrated ticket or a monthly Metrobilet.
Additional possibilities are provided by the new Transport GZM app, where passengers can take advantage of a new feature, i.e. "Start/Stop" Travel, in which 5, 10 and 15-minute rides are additionally available. Importantly, in the "Start/Stop Travel" option, all electronic fares paid by the passenger on a given day will be aggregated, which means that in a situation where the passenger uses a transfer up to 30 minutes, this time will not be included in the travel time. At the same time, if the total fare on a given day is higher than the value of the "Daily" ticket, then the system will charge for the entire day the value of the corresponding "Daily" ticket.
You can purchase tickets for ZTM rides at Passenger Service Points, selected kiosks, through the dedicated Transport GZM app or in third-party applications (e.g. mPay,
SkyCash or moBiLET). Remember that long-distance tickets and Metrobills can be purchased without leaving home on the Transport GZM mobile app or here.
