On November 24, 2025, a unique St. Andrew's Day event was held at the Staff Club, prepared for foreigners and Poles staying at the university – students, doctoral students, and employees. The meeting was intended not only to introduce the traditions associated with the evening of fortune-telling, but also to create a space for friendly intercultural integration.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to take part in traditional St. Andrew's Day fortune-telling activities, such as:
- a shoe race, which, as always, generated a lot of excitement and laughter,
- pouring wax through a key and guessing the shapes that appeared in the light,
- peeling apples and fortune-telling from the peels.
In an atmosphere full of curiosity and fun, participants had the opportunity not only to learn about Polish traditions, but also to talk about customs from different parts of the world. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, establish new relationships, and strengthen ties within the international academic community.
All participants were also invited to enjoy food and drink, which encouraged conversation and helped to create a friendly atmosphere.
The event was marked by joy, integration, and a shared discovery of traditions, leaving participants with fond memories and renewed energy.
