Spring Workshops and Spring Traditions in Poland
Invitation to an Integration Event
We warmly invite all members of the academic community – both Poles and internationals, including students, doctoral candidates, and university staff – to a special integration event entitled “Spring Workshops and Spring Traditions in Poland” organized by Welcome Point in cooperation with the Foreign Languages Centre.
When?
📅 17 March 2026 (Tuesday)
🕓 4:00 PM
Where?
📍 Employees’ Club
Stefana Banacha 3, 44-100 Gliwice
Together, we will say goodbye to winter and welcome spring by learning about one of the spring traditions present in Polish culture. During the event participants will:
- learn how winter is traditionally bid farewell and spring is welcomed in Poland,
- discover the meaning and history of the Marzanna tradition,
- create their own Marzanna during creative workshops,
- spend time in an international group, integrating and exchanging experiences.
This event is a great opportunity to get to know Polish culture and traditions in a friendly, informal atmosphere, as well as to meet other members of the university community — regardless of country of origin.
🌱 Join us to create, discover, and celebrate the arrival of spring together!
No prior knowledge or artistic skills are required — all that matters is good energy and a willingness to spend time together.
The number of places is limited. The order of registration is a deciding factor. Registration for the event is required.
