TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT ON THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND - information about the new procedure of submitting applications

Kindly note that in order to sign the application electronically – you need to have a trusted profilequalified electronic signature or personal signature.

Make sure you have access to the MOS application service via login.gov.pl.

You are also kindly asked to set up an e-Delivery (e-Doręczenia) address and electronic mailbox. e-Doręczenia - e-Doręczenia - Portal Gov.pl This mailbox will be needed, among other things, to receive summonses, notifications about scheduled appointments for in-person attendance (e.g., for fingerprint collection), and other correspondence sent to you by the office. In addition, through the electronic e-Delivery mailbox, you will be able to submit or provide any missing documents related to your case in response to requests from the office. Documents submitted as evidence in the case must be signed with a qualified electronic signature, a trusted signature (Profil Zaufany), or a personal signature (e-ID signature) by the appropriate persons or entities. In other words, they must be original electronic documents. However, if the original documents exist only in paper form, they must be submitted as scanned copies that have been electronically certified as true copies of the originals by a notary public, or by a legal counsel, attorney, or tax advisor acting as your authorized representative in the case.  Documents that are necessary for the application to be processed are:

  • application form for a temporary residence permit (filled electronically in the MOS portal)
  • annex to the application for a temporary residence permit (completed in electronic form, in accordance with the instructions, and then signed via login.gov.pl by a person authorised to represent the university with a trusted signature, personal signature or qualified electronic signature)
  • scan of all pages of a valid travel document (PDF format)
  • current photograph in digital format (JPG format)

The voivode will call you for documents necessary to confirm the data contained in the application and the circumstances justifying the granting of the permit if you did not attach them when submitting the application, and if when submitting the application you attached their scans  you will be summoned to present the originals or authenticated copies.  If any additional documents are needed, the Voivodeship Office will ask you to supplement your application and will clearly indicate which specific documents must be provided and by what deadline.

Please note that you should not delay submitting your application until the final day of your legal residence, as it may not be possible to attach all required documents within a single day. The application requires an attachment to be completed and signed by the University, and obtaining the necessary signature may take a considerable amount of time.
