The Invent Arena 2024 innovation fair was held on June 12-13, 2024 in Třinec, Czech Republic. More than 50 exhibitors from around the world presented their inventions in WERK ARENA in Třinec and the area around it. Over these two days, the exhibition was visited by over 5,000 visitors - entrepreneurs, students, professionals and the general public. Companies mainly from the Czech Republic, Poland and Europe presented new technologies and competed in the competition for the best innovations. Patent No. 221118 was also submitted in the competition: A method of recovering platinum metals from used car catalytic converters, developed by employees of the Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering (Agnieszka Fornalczyk - Department of Production Engineering, Roman Przyłucki - Department of Industrial Informatics, Mariola Saternus - Department of Metallurgy and Recycling, Sławomir Golak - Department of Industrial Informatics). This solution was awarded a gold medal and a special prize.
