The Invent Arena 2024 innovation fair took place on June 12-13, 2024 in Třinec, Czech Republic. The event was organized by the Czech Metallurgical Society. More than 50 exhibitors from all over the world presented their inventions in WERK ARENA in Třinec and the area around it. Over these two days, the exhibition was visited by over 5,000 visitors - entrepreneurs, students, professionals and the general public. Companies mainly from the Czech Republic, Poland and Europe presented new technologies and competed in the competition for the best innovations. The audience could see practical demonstrations of science in action.The event was attended by employees from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology: prof. Ph.D. engineer Janusz Adamiec – Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development, Ph.D. engineer Tomasz Merder, prof. PŚ, Ph.D. Eng. Katarzyna Łyczkowska, prof. Ph.D. engineer Mariola Saternus and student Wojciech Kubowicz from the Industrial Computer Science Department. The audience was presented with virtual welding, a moving robot with a differential drive controlled by a mobile phone, and a game about knowledge of metals. Our stand was very popular thanks to the great commitment of our employees.
