The Metallurgy Museum in Chorzów is a thriving center of culture and science in our region. On the basis of the agreement concluded between the Silesian University of Technology and the Metallurgy Museum, we are actively involved in its activities. Recently, two important events took place in which our colleague Jacek Pieprzyca participated. The first of them was the ceremonial celebration of the Metallurgist's Day, which took place on May 4 and 6, 2023. On this occasion, the "Florianfest - Family Metallurgical Festival" was held at the seat of the Museum, full of attractions. The culmination of the event was "Explosive Dobranocka", which was led by Jacek Pieprzyca in the presence of a large audience.

Another opportunity for our employees to present themselves was the "Night of Museums" which took place on 13 May. Here is a lecture "The Black Side of Metal" was delivered by Mariola Saternus, and a controlled pyrotechnic show entitled "Blow it up" was presented by Jacek Pieprzyca.

Another opportunity to present yourself attractively in front of a wide audience in the space of the Metallurgy Museum in Chorzów is approaching. It is Industriada, which will be held under the slogan "Metallurgy is an Art" on June 17th. We encourage everyone to consider participating. Please direct all suggestions to Jacek Pieprzyca, who was appointed by the dean's authorities as the representative for contacts between our Faculty and the Museum of Metallurgy in Chorzów.
