INTERNATIONAL INVENTION COMPETITION PRIX EIFFEL 2022 15/11/2022, Paris/France
On November 15 in Paris, the official announcement of the results of the International Competition of Inventions PRIX EIFFEL 2022 took place. The organizers of the event are: the French Federation of Inventors (FFI), the French Association of Inventors "Europe France Inventeurs" (EFI) and Eurobusiness-Haller in cooperation with the Haller Foundation Pro Inventio.
The competition was held with the international support of the World Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA). Its mission is to promote and commercialize innovation. The patron of the Competition is Gustave Eiffel, an outstanding constructor and innovator, a flagship figure of the industrialization era, the creator of the Eiffel Tower - the symbol of Paris, and other innovative projects created in France and in many other countries.
All inventions submitted to the PRIX EIFFEL 2022 competition were assessed by jurors representing both science and industry. The chairman of the jury was Philippe Couperie Eiffel – a descendant of the patron of the Competition. The presidium also included Gérard Roquillon - President of FFI, Patrick Herbault - President of EFI, Manli Hsieh - President of WIIPA.
Among the awards were: Grand Prix, platinum, gold, silver and bronze medals as well as special distinctions. These awards were presented by Philippe Couperie Eiffel - Chairman of the jury, accompanied by the organizers of the event.
The gold medal was awarded to Prof. dr hab. Eng. Janusz Adamiec, dr inż. Michał Urbańczyk and mgr inż. Radosław Ciokan for the invention: "The method of joining two-layer (composite) tubes with the use of laser technologies"
This year's edition of the Competition featured 234 inventions from 15 countries: Saudi Arabia, Chile, Ecuador, France, Iran, Yemen, Qatar, Malaysia, Poland, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, Great Britain and Vietnam.
