On May 30, 2023, an agreement on cooperation between the school and the Silesian University of Technology - Faculty of Materials Engineering in Katowice was signed at the Poviat School Complex in Lędziny. The university was represented by prof. dr hab. Eng. Janusz Adamiec – Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Development.

The cooperation provides for the implementation of joint educational activities related to the deepening and broadening of students' professional interests. Students of the Mechanical Technical Secondary School will be able to use specialized workshops and laboratories of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering in Katowice.

In addition, the second class of technical school, educating in the profession of mechanical technician, has been covered by the patronage of the university, which will additionally enable the development of contacts in the field of didactics - supporting the education of students by participating in various forms of classes. Students will have the opportunity to take part in lectures, workshops and laboratory classes, as well as cooperate with students of the university in the field of culture and education.

The culmination of the meeting inaugurating the cooperation was Professor Adamec's lecture on lasers - their construction, history and application in everyday life.

We are convinced that the initiated cooperation will bring measurable benefits to students of the Poviat School Complex in Lędziny
