Success at the Invent Arena 2026 Innovation Fair in Třinec!
On June 17-18, 2026, the Invent Arena 2026 innovation fair took place in Třinec, Czech Republic. Over 50 exhibitors from around the world showcased their inventions at the WERK ARENA in Třinec and its surrounding area. Over 5,000 visitors – entrepreneurs, students, professionals, and the general public – visited the exhibition over the two days. Companies, primarily from the Czech Republic, Poland, and Europe, presented new technologies and competed in a competition for the best innovations. Patent No. 221118 was also submitted for the competition: "A method for recovering platinum group elements from used automotive catalytic converters developed by employees of the Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering (Agnieszka Fornalczyk – Department of Production Engineering, Roman Przyłucki – Department of Industrial Computer Science, Mariola Saternus – Department of Metallurgy and Recycling, Sławomir Golak – Department of Industrial Computer Science). This solution was awarded a gold medal and a special prize in the Ecology and Environmental Protection category.
