The Silesian University of Technology has entered into a cooperation agreement with Fabryki Sprzętu i Narzędzi Górniczych – the Fasing S.A. Capital Group. The agreement creates new opportunities for joint activities in the fields of scientific research, education, and staff development.

The Fasing S.A. Capital Group is a recognized leader in the production of industrial chains, operating in the mining, energy, fisheries, sugar, cement, and wood industries. The company is among the largest enterprises of this type in Central Europe and cooperates with thousands of customers worldwide.

The agreement was signed on January 15 by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Marek Pawełczyk, and the President of the Management Board of the Fasing S.A. Capital Group, Mr. Mateusz Bik. The signing ceremony was also attended by Prof. Krzysztof Nowacki, Dean of the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Production Digitalization, and Dr. hab. Eng. Agnieszka Fornalczyk, Prof. of SUT, Head of the Department of Production Engineering.

The agreement provides for the implementation of joint research and development projects, the preparation of expert reports and technical analyses, as well as cooperation in the areas of organization and management. An important element of the partnership is also support for the education process, including enabling company employees to pursue higher education, doctoral and postgraduate studies, and to participate in specialized courses offered by the University.

This cooperation represents another step toward strengthening ties between academia and industry, fostering knowledge transfer and the implementation of innovative solutions in the economy.
