On May 12, 2026, the first-ever Education Day was held at Silesian University of Technology. The event focused on the development of modern teaching methods, cooperation between the university and the socio-economic environment, as well as challenges related to educating future engineers. The meeting brought together representatives of the university authorities, academic staff, students, industrial partners, and specialists involved in innovations in higher education.

The strong interest in the initiative was confirmed by the high attendance. During the official opening ceremony, the auditorium of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation was filled with numerous academic teachers and invited guests. The event program included lectures, panel discussions, and presentations devoted to modern educational tools and the future directions of higher education development.

Employees of the Department of Production Engineering also actively participated in the event, and we would like to sincerely thank them for their presence, commitment, and contribution to discussions concerning the quality and future of academic education.
