Student housing estate of the Silesian University of Technology

We would like to kindly inform all residents interested in accommodation in the Student Houses during the vacation period (July 15 - September 22, 2024):

1. Reservations for the vacation period can be made on: 20/05 – 31/05.2024 via the online form, available at the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/xgD3xhWfmB.
   There is no need to submit an additional application.
   
   
2. The on-duty Student Houses this year are:
   in Gliwice:
   a. DS. Barbara, DS. Sezam and DS. Solaris - only for current residents of these Student Houses,
   b. DS. Karlik, DS. Ondraszek and DS. Ziemowit for residents of the aforementioned Student Houses and the other ones that will be closed during the vacation period,
   in Katowice - DS. Babilon,
   in Zabrze - DS. Alaska.
   
   
3. The allocation of a place in a room for the duration of the vacation, is determined by the order of applications.
   
   
4. The decision on the allocation of a place for the vacation, residents will receive on 14/06/2024, by e-mail to the address they enter during the reservation.
   
   
5. The condition for the accommodation of current Residents of the Student Housing Estate in the dorms on duty is to settle the dues related to their stay in the academic year 2023/2024 in accordance with the provisions of the Resident Regulations.
   
   
6. Accommodation and de-accommodation of students during the vacation period will be held on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:
   a. de-accommodation of students who do not stay during the holiday period or for the examination session until 30/06/2024.
   b. check-out of students staying only for the examination session no later than 17/07/2024.
   c. accommodation of residents in the dormitories on duty listed in II.1.b from 15/07 – 25/07/2024 upon confirmation of room availability by the Manager of the dormitory on duty.
   d. For students using a place in the student house during the examination session from 01/07-17/07/2024, daily rates apply.
   e. Check-out from dorms on duty 16/09 – 22/09/2024.
   
   
7. All your belongings must be taken from the rooms in the Student Houses that are closed during the vacations. It is possible to store your belongings free of charge in a specially designated room that remains closed for the holiday break.
   
   
8. In justified cases, it is possible to accommodate and check-out outside of the scheduled hours.
   
   
9. The key from the room must be handed over at the gatehouse/reception - the fee for the absence of a handed over key is 50 PLN.
   
   
10. Due to the need to carry out technical inspections, disinsecting, minor repair work during the summer vacation, and to prepare all Student Houses for the accommodation action for 2024/2025 academic year, the Administration of Student Housing Estate reserves the right to reassign residents to other rooms or dormitories.
    
    
11. The Administration of Student Housing Estate reserves the right to change above rules in case of special circumstances, which will be immediately announced on the website.
