Student housing estate of the Silesian University of Technology

Notes (tables 1-3):

1) the tables contain monthly fees and daily rates. The basic billing period is a calendar month;

2) in DS Barbara and DS Karolinka, the rooms have individual energy meters, the monthly fee is a flat rate based on average consumption per resident of 120 kWh/month. If the consumption for a given month is higher, then an energy fee will be added to the monthly fee, calculated as follows: the difference between the consumption read from the energy meters and the flat rate of 120 kWh multiplied by the electricity rate applicable to the Silesian University of Technology according to the contract with the supplier;

3) in the case of vacancies, upon written request of a resident who wants to use a double room alone, the fee may be reduced by 25% for the second place;

4) In the event of vacancies, residents of units (1+2); (1+1); (2+2) or triple rooms, if they do not consent to full accommodation (i.e., the number of people accommodated is smaller than the number of places in a given unit/room), are obligated to cover the costs of the entire unit/room, with the fee for unit (1+2) calculated as follows:
a) unit occupied by one person – the resident pays the fee for the entire unit
b) unit occupied by two people – the residents are jointly and severally responsible for half of the fee for the entire unit

5) no fee is charged for a child up to 6 years of age (according to the year of birth);

6) a student with a valid resident card may receive guests on the premises of the student house free of charge until 24:00. The fee for a guest in a student room after 24:00 is PLN 15. The fee does not apply to residents of the Student Housing Estate;

7) For each relocation, an additional fee of PLN 40 is charged for all student dormitories.
