Competition task:

By saving water in the apartment or at home, we have an impact on the protection of water resources, and thus on the entire environment.

Your task is to present various activities leading to the reduction of hot water consumption on a monthly basis. Then take the reading of hot water consumption with and without saving it during a particular activity. The next step is to provide a simple calculation of energy savings in the form of instructions on the WebQuest.

In a conceptual-measurement-computational task, make a report in the form of a poster (free format and technique, portrait orientation) with a graphic presentation of the task implementation and the results obtained.

The aim of the competition task is to present the possibilities of saving energy needed to heat water, consumed by the family during the day, month and year; present savings in terms of actual financial savings, as well as present your proposals for the possible use of the obtained savings.

The result of the competition task is raising students’ awareness of respecting water, which is scarce in the world. In addition, the task is to draw attention to the fact that saving hot water leads to a reduction in energy consumption at home.
